Companies who improved their packaging

Fromagerie L’Ancêtre case study – Improved packaging to better protect products

More packaging reduces losses

The initiative

Cheese production takes time, energy and significant resources. Losses during transportation therefore have a considerable impact on both the company and the environment. When Fromagerie L’Ancêtre noticed that many product packages opened during transportation, the company decided to review its packaging concept for delivery from the plant to the store.

The winning solution

Fromagerie L’Ancêtre decided to increase the height of delivery boxes to provide more space for the cheese. That initiative reduced the number of packages that opened during transportation and the amount of cheese wasted. In this case, larger packaging reduced losses by 42%.
