Municipalities like yours play a key role in the modernized curbside recycling system. As the appointed manager of Quebec’s curbside recycling system, we will work with you to fulfill our mandate.

Front-line service and public information

Although we orchestrate curbside recycling operations across Quebec, your municipal body is still in the best position to provide front-line service and inform the population. As such, you are responsible for the collection and transportation of containers, packaging, and printed paper deposited in the recycling bins within your area. You are also responsible for ensuring communication in accordance with the guidelines we have established.

The role of municipalities

A system financed 100% by companies

Curbside recycling is fully financed by companies that market containers, packaging, and printed paper in Quebec. Municipal bodies like yours are a key link in this chain, ensuring the collection and transportation of materials placed in recycling bins. They are therefore compensated for this work.

Improved payment terms

Several changes have been made to optimize the payments you receive. For example, you now receive a payment every three months instead of once a year. The details of the payment terms can be found in our agreement.
