ÉCO ENTREPRISES QUÉBEC LAUNCHES A MULTIPLATFORM ECORESPONSIBLE PACKAGING CAMPAIGN FEATURING ÉRIC SALVAIL

Today, Éco Entreprises Québec (ÉEQ) launched a new multiplatform awareness campaign featuring ÉEQ spokesman Éric Salvail.

A TV ad with Éric Salvail will be broadcast starting today and run until December on all the major networks and online. Québec’s favourite television host will present the spot tonight during his popular talk show, En Mode Salvail.

In addition, a series of humorous vignettes entitled Les emballages écoresponsables : un jeu d’enfants will be available on the Web and social media. With his usual wit and humor, Éric goes back to elementary school to raise awareness among the children of ecoresponsible packaging. The vignettes provide more in-depth information and redirect consumers to the eeqecoresponsible.com microsite, which is designed as a complement to the campaign.

Aimed at the public, the comprehensive site includes information on the key characteristics of ecoresponsible packaging, as well as tips and profiles of businesses that rethought their packaging to reduce their environmental impacts. The eeqecoresponsible.com site seeks to help consumers integrate ecoresponsible packaging into their day-to-day.

Also, Éric Salvail now has his own emojis, three of which are a nod to the recent ÉEQ ads in which he stars. To download Éric Salvail’s app and the SalvailMoji for your text messages, go to the App Store (http://apple.co/2d6VqAn) or Google Play (https://goo.gl/UShvXO).

Don’t miss En Mode Salvail tonight at 10 p.m. on V télé!

Éco Entreprises Québec (ÉEQ) is the organization that develops the Schedule of Contributions and collects company contributions, which are then redistributed to finance municipal curbside recycling services in Quebec. ÉEQ also encourages innovation and sharing of best practices in order to optimize the recyclable materials value chain. To do so, ÉEQ cooperates, on the one hand, with companies to reduce quantities of materials at the source and encourage the use of recyclable materials, as well as with municipalities to increase recycling and the economic value of recovered materials.

ÉEQ is a private non-profit organization created by companies that put containers, packaging and printed matter on Quebec’s market to represent them. The organization was accredited by RECYC-QUÉBEC in 2005 in accordance with the Environment Quality Act.
