Éco Entreprises Québec welcomes the financial assistance announced by the Government of Québec to support producers

Montréal, March 19, 2026 - Éco Entreprises Québec (ÉEQ) welcomes the $27 million in financial assistance announced today by the Québec government to support producers in the transition to the new extended producer responsibility (EPR) system.
 

This funding will be provided to ÉEQ and then redistributed to eligible businesses to mitigate the financial impacts associated with the overlap between the old compensation plan and the new EPR system. This announcement is accompanied by the government’s intention to proceed with regulatory changes.

For over a year, we’ve been working closely with the government to find solutions to support producers through this transition.
