$15 million for the Fonds économie circulaire: ÉEQ a member of the strategic committee

On November 25th, 2021, the Fonds économie circulaire announced the completion of its first phase of financing amounting to 15 million dollars, thanks to its two new investors.

Philippe Cantin, Vice President, Public Affairs and Governmental Relations at Éco Entreprises Québec is a member of the strategic committee. The board aims to follow circular economy trends, identify business opportunities and improve impact measurement.

The Fonds économie circulaire helps to support startup companies through business practices that fall within a circular economy. It was created and is managed by Fondaction, an investor in Quebec businesses for a positive transformation of the local economy.

The Fonds économie circulaire therefore focuses its actions on three priority sectors:

  1. Agri-food
  2. Recycling and recovery of resources
  3. Eco-construction

Investing in and supporting startup companies from Quebec in these sectors promotes eco-transition by reducing waste and greenhouse gas emissions.

ÉEQ is proud to be a part of the strategic committee and to contribute towards finding new solutions of circularity.
